Mithril med helm

Mithril med helm is a free-to-play item. Other players trade it, but an Ironman cannot use the Grand Exchange or trade, so you get your own. We list 7 monsters, 4 shops, 1 recipe and 8 other sources for it.

The easiest way is to buy it: the cheapest of the shops that stock it is Helmet Shop in Barbarian Village, at 780 coins each. Across the 4 shops that take coins, the price runs from 780 to 1,014. You can also make it with 53 Smithing from Mithril bar at an anvil. Each one made gives 50 Smithing XP. If you would rather kill for it, the lowest-level monster that drops it is Wall beast (level 49), at 1/128, about one in 128 kills. The best rate is from Moss Giant (Iorwerth Dungeon) (level 84): 2/128. The 7 monsters we list with a combat level range from level 49 to 166. It also comes from 8 other sources, such as Ranging cape and Ava's assembler.

The material you can buy or make: Mithril bar, made with 50 Smithing.

It is worn in the head slot; its biggest bonuses are +11 slash defence and +10 stab defence. Shops stock it in 4 places, including Barbarian Village, Jatizso, Keldagrim and Sunset Coast.

No recipe in our data uses it as a material. High Alchemy (55 Magic) turns one into 468 coins. Each cast uses a nature rune, 180 coins from a rune shop, and five fire runes that a fire staff replaces, so an alch nets about 288 coins.
