About RSGoals

RSGoals is an independent fan project: free Ironman trackers, planners and guides for Old School RuneScape and RuneScape 3. It is built and run by one player who plays both games, and it exists because planning an Ironman meant keeping a dozen wiki tabs and a spreadsheet open.

Who runs it

One person writes the code, the guides and the data checks. There is no paid tier: every page and tool is free, and game information will never sit behind a paywall. The same team runs the RuneScape 3 site at rs3.rsgoals.com.

Where the data comes from

Official hiscores: Levels, XP, ranks and boss kill counts come straight from Jagex’s public Old School hiscores when you look a player up. We never ask for, or see, your Jagex login.
The Old School RuneScape Wiki: Drop tables, shop stock, recipes, quest requirements, places, minigames and Combat Achievements are pulled from the wiki’s structured data by our own scripts, under its CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 licence. Pages built from those tables say so, and stay free of ads.
Item sprites: Item pictures are the game’s own inventory icons (© Jagex), shown under Jagex’s Fan Content Policy.
Our own writing: Every guide, Ironman verdict, tip and ordering is written by us. Where something is our judgement, such as boss tiers or quest priorities, we say so rather than present it as fact.

How it is checked

The hand-written game facts (quests, diaries, bosses, gear, Slayer) were last checked line by line against the wiki and the game on 29 September 2026.
The item database (7,407 items with a known source) was last pulled on 2026-10-09. Item pages say which numbers come from it, and their Ironman verdicts only restate what that data holds.
Each of our 11 guides shows the date it was last reviewed, under its title.
Automated tests pin many of the checked facts, so a data refresh that changes one is caught when the tests run.

How often it changes

Player snapshots for tracked Ironmen are taken once a day, which is what the profiles and hiscore pages show.
A lookup reads the official hiscores at the time you search, so your own stats are current.
Wiki data is pulled again after game updates, and every guide shows its review date so you can tell how current it is.

A contact address for corrections is being set up and will appear here and in the footer. Game updates change things quickly, and reports from players are the fastest way we hear about it.
