How to get herb seeds and ranarr seeds as an Ironman

Early game

• Master Farmers

  Found in Draynor, north of East Ardougne, the Farming Guild and Hosidius. At full efficiency, expect up to about 60 ranarr-tier or better seeds an hour. The rogue outfit doubles loot.

  Needs: 38 Thieving

• Wintertodt

  The reward cart rolls for seeds, scaled by Farming level. Once you own 3 warm gloves and 3 bruma torches, extra rolls for them give magic or torstol seeds.

  Needs: 50 Firemaking

• Barbarian Assault

  High gambles give 3 to 4 ranarr seeds about 1 in 32 times.

Mid game

• Farming contracts

  Guildmaster Jane pays a seed pack per contract, and good packs hold ranarr, snapdragon and torstol seeds. Take one every farm run.

  Needs: 45 Farming (medium 65, hard 85)

• Hespori

  Grow it in the Farming Guild cave (22 to 32 hours), then kill it for seeds including ranarr, white lily and anima seeds.

  Needs: 65 Farming

• Kingdom of Miscellania

  Workers on flax find herb seeds 3 to 4 times more often than on herbs. The farming job gives a broad mix of seeds.

  Needs: Throne of Miscellania

• Slayer drops

  Fossil Island wyverns drop a ranarr seed about 1 in 58 kills, and lizardmen and araxytes drop them too. Use the Slayer helper to plan tasks.

  Needs: 66 Slayer for wyverns

Late game

• Bosses

  Cerberus, the Alchemical Hydra, Araxxor, Phantom Muspah and Doom of Mokhaiotl drop small stacks of ranarr seeds.

• Hallowed Sepulchre

  The Grand Hallowed Coffin at the end of floor 5 gives 1 to 2 ranarr seeds about 1 in 10 times.

• Hardcore note

  Larran's big chest also pays out ranarr seeds, but its keys come from Wilderness Slayer and drop on death. Treat it as a bonus, not a plan.

Best monster drops

The monsters that drop the most per kill, from the wiki's drop data. Plenty of these are bosses you'd kill anyway, so the supplies come on top of the gear.
