Chickens
Drop feathers at no cost. Fine for your first fly fishing trips, but too slow for Fletching.
Gerrant in Port Sarim
Stocks 1,000 feathers and 100 feather packs of 100 each. Other fishing shops sell packs too. Open packs to fill your stack, then hop worlds.
Headless arrows
15 feathers on 15 arrow shafts makes 15 headless arrows. This is the main feather sink for an Ironman training Fletching.
Mid game
Coloured feathers
Blue, orange, red, yellow and stripy feathers from Hunter birds all work in place of normal feathers in Fletching.
Fish offcuts
Barbarian Fishing takes offcuts as bait, cut from raw fish with a knife. Offcuts are used before feathers, so your stack lasts.
Needs: 48 Fishing · 15 Agility · 15 Strength
Broad bolts
Unfinished broad bolts from Slayer masters need feathers to finish. Keep a stack spare for Slayer ammo.
Needs: Broader Fletching · 55 Fletching
Late game
Gryphon feathers
Dropped by all gryphons. They work for arrows, bolts and darts, but not fly fishing. They also charge the horn of plenty.
Stymphike feathers
From stymphikes and monsters on Vampyrium. They work in Fletching, but you may want them for off-task venator access instead.
Dragon darts
Dragon dart tips need feathers to become darts. Keep a large stack ready before you start.
Needs: 95 Fletching
Best monster drops
The monsters that drop the most per kill, from the wiki's drop data. Plenty of these are bosses you'd kill anyway, so the supplies come on top of the gear.
