Ironman verdict

Steel javelin is a members item. Other players trade it, but an Ironman cannot use the Grand Exchange or trade, so you get your own. We list 3 monsters, 3 shops and 1 recipe for it.

The easiest way is to buy it: the cheapest of the shops that stock it is Void Knight Archery Store in Void Knights' Outpost, at 24 coins each. Across the 3 shops that take coins, the price runs from 24 to 31. You can also make it with 32 Fletching from 15 × Steel javelin tips and 15 × Javelin shaft. Each one made gives 75 Fletching XP. If you would rather kill for it, the lowest-level monster that drops it is Tribesman (level 32), at 3/138, about one in 46 kills. That monster also has the best drop rate we list.

It is worn in the ammunition slot; its biggest bonus is +64 ranged strength. Shops stock it in 3 places, including Void Knights' Outpost, Marim and Ranging Guild.

It is a material in 3 recipes: Steel javelin(p), Steel javelin(p+) and Steel javelin(p++). High Alchemy (55 Magic) turns one into 14 coins. Each cast uses a nature rune, 180 coins from a rune shop, and five fire runes that a fire staff replaces, so an alch loses about 166 coins; only alch it to clear space.
