Ironman verdict

Iron 2h sword is a free-to-play item. Other players trade it, but an Ironman cannot use the Grand Exchange or trade, so you get your own. We list 5 monsters, 5 shops and 1 recipe for it.

The easiest way is to buy it: the cheapest of the shops that stock it is Gaius' Two Handed Shop in Taverley, at 280 coins each. Across the 5 shops that take coins, the price runs from 280 to 420. You can also make it with 29 Smithing from 3 × Iron bar at an anvil. Each one made gives 75 Smithing XP. If you would rather kill for it, the lowest-level monster that drops it is Ice giant (level 53), at 5/128, about one in 26 kills. That monster also has the best drop rate we list. The 2 monsters we list with a combat level range from level 53 to 81.

The material you can buy or make: Iron bar (3 needed), made with 15 Smithing.

It is worn in the two-handed weapons slot, attacking every 7 ticks; its biggest bonuses are +14 melee strength and +13 slash attack. Shops stock it in 5 places, including Taverley, Grand Tree, Shayzien and Warriors' Guild.

No recipe in our data uses it as a material. High Alchemy (55 Magic) turns one into 168 coins. Each cast uses a nature rune, 180 coins from a rune shop, and five fire runes that a fire staff replaces, so an alch loses about 12 coins; only alch it to clear space.
