Ironman verdict

Bronze chainbody is a free-to-play item. Other players trade it, but an Ironman cannot use the Grand Exchange or trade, so you get your own. We list 2 monsters, 4 shops and 1 recipe for it.

The easiest way is to buy it: the cheapest of the shops that stock it is Horvik's Armour Shop in Varrock, at 60 coins each. Across the 4 shops that take coins, the price runs from 60 to 72. You can also make it with 11 Smithing from 3 × Bronze bar at an anvil. Each one made gives 37.5 Smithing XP. The best rate is from Duke Sucellus: 1/100, 11, 17 (noted) at a time. Duke Sucellus drops it already noted, which saves inventory space on a trip.

The material you can buy or make: Bronze bar (3 needed), sold at Shantay Pass Shop for 8 coins.

It is worn in the body slot; its biggest bonuses are +13 crush defence and +11 slash defence. Among the bosses we cover, Duke Sucellus drops it. Shops stock it in 4 places, including Varrock, Falador, Shayzien and Warriors' Guild.

No recipe in our data uses it as a material. High Alchemy (55 Magic) turns one into 36 coins. Each cast uses a nature rune, 180 coins from a rune shop, and five fire runes that a fire staff replaces, so an alch loses about 144 coins; only alch it to clear space.
