The easiest way is to buy it: the cheapest of the shops that stock it is Horvik's Armour Shop in Varrock, at 3,840 coins each. If you would rather kill for it, the lowest-level monster that drops it is Animated Black Armour (level 69), at Always. That monster also has the best drop rate we list. The 3 monsters we list with a combat level range from level 69 to 137. It also comes from 8 other sources, such as Damaged armour and easy clue scrolls. It is on the beginner and easy clue scroll reward tables, so every clue of those tiers you complete is a chance at it.

It is worn in the body slot; its biggest bonuses are +41 stab defence and +40 slash defence. Shops stock it in 2 places, including Varrock and East Ardougne.

No recipe in our data uses it as a material. High Alchemy (55 Magic) turns one into 2,304 coins. Each cast uses a nature rune, 180 coins from a rune shop, and five fire runes that a fire staff replaces, so an alch nets about 2,124 coins.
