Ironman verdict

Iron bolts is a members item. Other players trade it, but an Ironman cannot use the Grand Exchange or trade, so you get your own. We list 8 monsters, 1 shop, 3 recipes and 1 other source for it.

The easiest way is to buy it from Daryl's Ranging Surplus in Shayzien, at 2 coins each. You can also make it with 39 Fletching from 10 × Iron bolts (unf) and 10 × Feather. Each one made gives 15 Fletching XP. That is the lowest-level of its 3 recipes. If you would rather kill for it, the lowest-level monster that drops it is Highwayman (level 5), at 5/100, about one in 20 kills. The best rate is from Guard (Doric's hut) (level 19): 10/128, 2–12 at a time. The 6 monsters we list with a combat level range from level 5 to 84. It also comes from Storage crate.
