It is worn in the shield slot; its biggest bonuses are +40 slash defence and +38 stab defence.
No recipe in our data uses it as a material. High Alchemy (55 Magic) turns one into 23,040 coins. Each cast uses a nature rune, 180 coins from a rune shop, and five fire runes that a fire staff replaces, so an alch nets about 22,860 coins.
