Ironman verdict

Bronze platelegs is a free-to-play item. Other players trade it, but an Ironman cannot use the Grand Exchange or trade, so you get your own. We list 2 monsters, 3 shops, 1 recipe and 1 other source for it.

The easiest way is to buy it: the cheapest of the shops that stock it is Louie's Armoured Legs Bazaar in Al Kharid, at 80 coins each. You can also make it with 16 Smithing from 3 × Bronze bar at an anvil. Each one made gives 37.5 Smithing XP. If you would rather kill for it, the lowest-level monster that drops it is Animated Bronze Armour (level 11), at 9/10, about one in 1 kills. That monster also has the best drop rate we list. The 2 monsters we list with a combat level range from level 11 to 107. It also comes from Broken armour.

The material you can buy or make: Bronze bar (3 needed), sold at Shantay Pass Shop for 8 coins.

It is worn in the legs slot; its biggest bonuses are +8 stab defence and +7 slash defence. Shops stock it in 3 places, including Al Kharid, Shayzien and Civitas illa Fortis.

No recipe in our data uses it as a material. High Alchemy (55 Magic) turns one into 48 coins. Each cast uses a nature rune, 180 coins from a rune shop, and five fire runes that a fire staff replaces, so an alch loses about 132 coins; only alch it to clear space.
